Dave Matthews Band Announced 2010 UK Tour Dates

Dave Matthews Band come back to the UK & Ireland for five passionately expected events in March to bring their 2010 European tour, which begins in February to a spectacular close.The group’s latest studio album ‘Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King’ (Released June 1st) sold 424,000 copies in its first week of release stateside and was the band’s fifth consecutive album to enter the Billboard 200 at No.1.

Dave has confirmed what everyone has pretty much expected for 2010; Dave Matthews Band is returning to Europe. In an interview with Guitar & Bass, Dave let his German fans know that DMB is planning Two shows in Germany in the Spring of 2010. Clearly, there will be more dates in Europe, and expect the Official Site to make an announcement before the end of the year.

Dave Matthews Band Awards and Nominations
The band has got three nominations from the American Music Awards and six nominations from the MTV Video Music Awards but has yet to win an award from either ceremony. Dave Matthews Band got two nominations in its first year in 1996 from the Grammy Awards, but did not win either one. The second year, however, they got the Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group award for the song "So Much to Say" from their third album, Crash. While always encouraging fan recordings of concerts for personal enjoyment, the success of the band led to the illegal sale of such recordings. Such copies were often very expensive and of very low-quality. To meet the demand of the illegal distribution of such tapes, in 1997 DMB released their first live album, Live at Red Rocks.

Dave Matthews is to perform with Kenny Chesney
Chesney and Matthews are expected to sing "I'm Alive," which they recorded together for Chesney's "Lucky Old Sun" album. The track was originally recorded by Willie Nelson.
Performers already announced for the Nov. 11 presentation include Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Billy Currington, Vince Gill and Daughtry, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band.
Underwood and Paisley are to serve as hosts of "The 43rd annual CMA Awards," which is to air live from the Sommet Center on ABC.
